A score you can inspect
Matched, outside-tolerance, weak, missing, and extra peaks remain visible beneath the headline number.
Product · Alignment & reference concordance
0.8.0 · research previewIonConcord compares an integrated peak list against your reference collection, corrects retention-time drift, and reports every matched, missing, shifted, and unexpected peak.
Align the sample. See the difference that remains.
The problem
A specification checks a small set of marker compounds. A real reference contains the full pattern: majors, traces, absences, and the relationships between them.
IonConcord aligns a sample to that real reference, then classifies each difference. The result is evidence for a decision—not a black-box verdict.
How it works
Each stage produces something you can inspect before the next one runs.
Read an integrated CSV or TXT peak list using the header rather than assuming fixed column positions.
→ Parsed sample peak listOpen a folder or ZIP of retained samples, approved lots, supplier references, or previous production.
→ Candidate libraryCompare the sample with the whole collection and order references by concordance.
→ Ranked candidate listUse shared compound identities first, then the peak pattern where identities are missing or ambiguous.
→ Anchor setFit a linear, quadratic, or cubic relationship and derive the matching window from its residuals.
→ RT model + matching windowPair peaks monotonically so matches cannot cross in crowded chromatographic regions.
→ Peak-to-peak assignmentSeparate matched, outside-tolerance, weak, missing, and extra peaks with settings recorded.
→ Concordance breakdownShow predicted and observed RT, RI, area percentages, and a reason for every exception.
→ Aligned CSV + differences-only PDFEvidence, not a verdict
Matched, outside-tolerance, weak, missing, and extra peaks remain visible beneath the headline number.
RT window, minimum area, area tolerances, renormalisation, polynomial degree, and anchor strategy travel with the result.
Export the full aligned table or a differences-only PDF short enough to place in the batch file.
Limits worth stating
Concordance supports a laboratory decision; it does not release or reject a material automatically.
Defaults are starting points and must be validated for the material, instrument, and method.
Poor anchor coverage or a poor RT fit is a reason to inspect the chromatography before trusting the comparison.
